Herkimer Diamonds are not actual diamonds but rather a type of double-terminated quartz crystals. They are named after Herkimer County, New York, where they were first discovered in the late 1700s. These unique crystals are renowned for their exceptional clarity and high vibrational energy.

Formation of Herkimer Diamonds is a result of hydrothermal activity millions of years ago. Water containing silica flowed into rock cavities, depositing Quartz crystals. Some inclusions in Herkimer Diamonds contain a black hydrocarbon known as Anthraxolite. This material appears as black, dull, or shiny fragments or smears within the crystal or inclusion. Occasionally, the hydrocarbon is deposited as a thin film on crystal faces during growth, imparting a smokey colour to the crystal and forming multiple phantom crystals within.

Import Duties & Taxes (outside the UK)

Import duties and taxes for international shipments may be liable to be paid upon arrival in destination country. This varies by country, and Tali and Loz encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us.

If you refuse to pay duties and taxes upon arrival at your destination country, the goods will be returned to Tali and Loz at the customers expense, and the customer will receive a refund for the value of goods paid, minus the cost of the return shipping. The cost of the initial shipping will not be refunded.
